Mary + Brad // New Year’s Eve Wedding

What a magical evening it was for Mary and Brad on their New Year’s Eve Wedding Day!

The weather in St. Louis on New Year’s Eve can vary from 75 degrees and sunny to ice and extreme cold temperatures. Luckily, the weather played nice and made for the perfect backdrop to their special day.

Mary and Brad had a classic theme - black and white with a touch of sparkle. The color palette completed beautifully with the holiday decor throughout their wedding venues.

The ceremony took place right at sunset in the historic Jewel Box in Forest Park. Mary and Brad opted for a non-traditional ceremony. The ceremony featured a moment of reflection to honor their loved ones who had passed. They also symbolized their new life together through a glass unity ceremony.

Following the ceremony, it was time to party. It was clear to us when we first met Mary and Brad that they wanted their special day to be all about the fun. They selected to host a cocktail-style reception which made for a more relaxed evening of mingling and dancing - while still featuring traditional wedding elements like the first dance and toasts.

Guests were welcomed into the reception by a spectacular champagne tower that was handcrafted by the Groom! What's a New Year’s party without some champagne?

The small details at the reception added the couple’s personality to the night. Instead of a traditional wedding guest book, Brad and Mary created, “Wedding Mad Libs,” for guests to leave advice for the newlyweds.

Mary’s bridesmaid even made a special gift for her to add some flair to her wardrobe throughout the evening. She designed a custom-made jean jacket sporting her new name, Mrs. Goodman!

As the party continued on throughout the evening, guests enjoyed late-night snacks and liquid nitrogen ice cream by Ices Plain & Fancy – made on the spot for guests. It was the perfect treat and a favorite of the bride and groom.

Our favorite moment of the night was when the clock struck midnight. It was our duty to ensure that everyone was ready for the big countdown and that the confetti cannon send-off was set to go. The countdown began…3...2...1…Happy New Year!

Natalie’s Brides served as the “day of” coordinator for Mary and Brad’s New Year’s Eve Wedding Day. We had such a great time ringing in 2020 with The Goodman’s!

This couldn’t have been done without all the help from the wonderful vendors!
